Kalpadhaksha Montessori School was founded in 2019 at Kolapakkam, with the vision to provide world-class Montessori education blended with experiential learning for children aged 1.5 to 12 years.

What began as a single center has now grown into a trusted name in Montessori education. In 2025, Kalpadhaksha proudly expanded into two more branches:

  • ✨ Kalpadhaksha Montessori @ Vels Kinder Kids, Mylapore
  • 🌍 Kalpadhaksha World School, Kanathur

At every branch, our philosophy remains the same: β€œThe Child is the Curriculum.” We follow the child, giving them the freedom to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace, while ensuring they meet their developmental milestones at the right time.

Our Founder – Mrs. Kalpana D. Kumar

Founder & Correspondent, Kalpadhaksha | Director, Kare Therapy Center

Mrs. Kalpana D. Kumar is a Speech and Language Pathologist (MERF, 2010) with extensive experience at Vidya Sagar, Srishti, and MERF. Her passion for helping children with special needs sparked a vision: to create a school where every child – irrespective of their abilities – can learn, communicate, and thrive.

Will children with alternative abilities get the opportunity to interact with typically growing peers?
Can teachers truly understand and support diverse learners?

This led her to pioneer inclusive education by collaborating with schools and professionals.

Her qualifications include:

  • βœ” Certification in Learning Disabilities (Madras Dyslexia Association)
  • βœ” Sensory Integration Certification
  • βœ” PG Diploma in Therapeutic Play Skills (College of Allied Educators, Singapore)

She firmly believes in a holistic, multidisciplinary approach where professionals work together to understand and support every child’s unique learning journey.
